When I realized I wasn’t the only patient who’d been missed, I spent 18 months creating a course for clinicians to teach them how to help their athletes prevent energy deficiency. I’ve lectured to clinicians on this topic over and over.
What stood out to me is that even though I was teaching the doctors what to do to help their patients, the patients still didn’t have the information in their hands. It was a bit like a game of telephone, plus, it’s impossible to be an expert in every medical field.
I created Energy for Every Stride: Nutrition to Power Women’s Running so patients could access my knowledge and create a fueling strategy that works for their unique needs.
